He is an academician, poet and writer on ecological, ethno-medical, culture-ethnological themes, and is the published author of five books: Im Schatten des Himalaya (book of poems in German), Through Nepalese Eyes (travelogue), Katmandu, Katmandu (poetry and prose anthology, two language books on the Nepalese language for DSE (Deutsche Stiftung für Entwicklungsdienst) & Horlemannverlag. He has written three feature articles in the Munich-based Nelles Verlag’s ‘Nepal’ on the Himalayan Kingdom’s Gurkhas, sacred mountains and Nepalese symbols and on Hinduism in ‘Nepal: Myths & Realities (Book Faith India) and his poem ‘Mental Molotovs’ was published in epd-Entwicklungsdienst (Frankfurt). Matinee of the Dreisam Valley Choirs (Satis Shroff) The Dreisamtal choirs will be staging a concert to honour its eldest singers in the Sommerberg Hall in Buchenbach, near Freiburg, at a matinee.   A matinee is actually an afternoon theatrical performance, but in the French sense of the word ‘ matin’ which means ‘morning’ or   what occupies a morning. We’re proud of our singers who have sung in the singing associations (vereine) for 60, 65 and 70 years in their respective choirs. The following choirs will be singing to honour the chosen singers: the men’s choir Buchenbach, Kirchzarten, Oberried, St. Peter, Zarten and the gospel-choir ‘Zarduna Sind and Swing.’ The event begins at 11 am on the 25 th of March 2018. The stories are written through the Eyes of a Nepalese, hence the Title. We learn about the role of women, religious beliefs, political events, ethical and socio-economic situations in Nepal.
