She sees only humans.

When the war ended in 1945

People began to have serious doubts

About the Endsieg propaganda.

People like you and me,

Who believed and did

What they were told.

‘Just doing my duty,’

One was told.

The enemies from the East and West

Were drawing closer.

Emotions were at their lowest,

And parents their children:

‘Child, promise me

That you’ll shoot yourself.’

That was the downfall of little people 1945.
