A Small Convocation Event of the Academy for Medical Professions (Satis Shroff)

Recently I attended an Entlassungsfeier, which was a celebration of students who'd passed their Health and Pediatric Nursing exams along with the Surgical Technical Assistants (OTA) on August 21, 2015. The event was organised by the Academy for Medical Professions, University Klinik, Freiburg at the University Casino Hall.

 The speakers at this annual event were: Franz-Josef Overhoff and Helmut Schiffer, who greeted the students, parents and their friends and other visitors.

The Nursing pedagogues Gabriele Salrein Hahn and Ewald Born held also speeches on this occassion. The students who took part in the following courses received their qualification 'Zeugnis' from Wolfgang Erkel (GKPS 2012B), Ute Böpple (GKKPS 2012B), Anke Brinkmann (OTA 2012B) and Hans-Peter Schmider (GKPH 2014B).

As usual, the small convocation ceremony ended with a get-together, sekt and delicious snacks. Here's wishing all the participating students success in your new endeavours.

Matinee of the Dreisam Valley Choirs (Satis Shroff)

Matinee of the Dreisam Valley Choirs (Satis Shroff) The Dreisamtal choirs will be staging a concert to honour its eldest singers in the Sommerberg Hall in Buchenbach, near Freiburg, at a matinee.   A matinee is actually an afternoon theatrical performance, but in the French sense of the word ‘ matin’ which means ‘morning’ or   what occupies a morning. We’re proud of our singers who have sung in the singing associations (vereine) for 60, 65 and 70 years in their respective choirs. The following choirs will be singing to honour the chosen singers: the men’s choir Buchenbach, Kirchzarten, Oberried, St. Peter, Zarten and the gospel-choir ‘Zarduna Sind and Swing.’ The event begins at 11 am on the 25 th of March 2018.
