If the stay permit isn’t granted Then it’s a broken journey. We don’t know the details of these journeys To the outside world, Of humans who have fled From dictators, war or want. We have neither  the right to judge them, Nor ridicule or hate them. Such an attitude never made anyone’s life A better one. History will judge whether we’ve been kind To refugees in need. Let us give our helping hand And not be blended by rightist opinions. Let Germany show its open heart. * * *
